Beads

I started making Lampwork beads in January 2001, using a hothead Beadmaker starter kit. So began my glass bead making obsession. Those first days were spent working in the kitchen with the Jenn Air downdraft as my ventilation and sending my beads to a friend to batch anneal. I now have a nice lampworking setup in my 1000 sqft basement studio with a Nortel minor torch, oxygen concentrator and 800 cuft/min super quiet ventilation system. Many thanks to my Dad and husband for help with all the construction and finishing work! I don’t sell beads or jewelry outright, I donate them for various fundraising events to benefit the Watershed Stewards Academy and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Recently I have also been supporting Beads of Courage and publishing online tutorials to inspire other bead makers.
